Focusing on the merging of art, education and community

Linda Vanderkolk has taught at Purdue since 1990 (2-D & 3-D Design, Drawing, Art for Elementary Educators, Art Appreciation and more), and community art classes (calligraphy, gifted, mixed media, kids) 20 years prior. After undergrad fine arts, inventing a puzzling process to physically mix found images was her master’s degree exhibition. Ten Public Art works in diverse media, artist collaborations, installations, patterning, paper-fold inventions, wordplay, creativity and ‘Ann Ohnimus’ xerographs have been interests/outputs. Curating/installing seven community-based museum exhibits, hanging numerous gallery shows and involvement with many cultural groups contributed to her statewide Arts Volunteer recognition.
